Sourced from a trusted manufacturing partner and supported locally by our Sharjah team, the TABREED NEXUS is built for the demands of Gulf ambient conditions, not a unit designed for a milder climate and simply adapted for the region.
With 19 standard models covering a nominal cooling range of 44 to 468 TR, and selected configurations extending toward 502 TR, the series provides a broad range of capacities for demanding cooling applications. Every unit is T3 tropical rated, with performance data available for ambient temperatures up to 52°C.

What Is an Air-Cooled Chiller?
An air-cooled chiller is a packaged refrigeration system that removes heat from a chilled-water circuit and rejects that heat directly to the outside air through condenser coils and fans.
Unlike water-cooled systems that typically require additional cooling-tower infrastructure, an air-cooled chiller combines the refrigeration system, condenser and controls within a packaged unit, making it suitable for many commercial and industrial installations.
In the UAE, the key challenge is not simply producing cooling, it is maintaining reliable performance when outdoor temperatures remain extremely high for long periods.
The TABREED NEXUS AC Series is designed for T3 tropical conditions and suitable for high-ambient operation up to 52°C, helping the system meet the demanding operating conditions encountered across the Gulf. Electronic expansion control, condenser pressure control and semi-hermetic screw compressors are features supporting part-load performance and high-ambient operation.
The TABREED NEXUS AC Series
The TABREED NEXUS combines high-ambient capability with robust refrigeration components, dual-circuit redundancy, advanced controls and BMS connectivity.

COMER Semi-Hermetic Screw Compressors:
TABREED NEXUS chillers use COMER semi-hermetic screw compressors with an advanced 5:6 ratio screw rotor profile. The compressors provide step-less capacity control through a sliding valve and are designed for strong part-load performance. Each chiller is equipped with two independent refrigerant circuits, providing redundancy so scheduled service on one circuit does not necessarily take the entire chiller out of operation. The compressor design also incorporates protective features including motor winding temperature protection, discharge temperature protection, phase reversal and phase failure protection, and oil-level protection. -
Evaporator / Cooler:
The TABREED NEXUS range uses DX cooler configurations designed for efficient heat transfer and serviceability. Across most of the range, direct-expansion shell-and-tube coolers, designed with straight tubes to allow easier internal tube cleaning. The evaporators are factory insulated and are designed for maximum working pressures of 16 bar on the shell side and 23 bar on the tube side, with CE and ASME certification. For technical accuracy across the complete range, cooler construction varies by model: brazed-plate coolers for AC-45 and AC-60, with shell-and-tube coolers used on subsequent models. . -
High-Efficiency Condenser Coils:
The condenser uses a V-shaped, multi-pass design to provide a large heat-transfer surface and support efficient operation under high ambient conditions.
Standard condenser construction includes:
- Pre-coated louvered aluminium fins at 14 FPI
- Seamless, oxygen-free internally grooved copper tubes
- Mechanical bonding between fins and tubes
- Leakage testing up to 35 bar
- External-rotor axial condenser fans
Optional condenser configurations include hydrophilic aluminium fins, Heresite-coated aluminium fins, copper fins and electro-tinned copper options for applications requiring additional corrosion protection.

R134a Refrigerant:
The TABREED NEXUS AC Series uses R134a refrigerant across the range.
The refrigeration circuits include the compressor with built-in oil separator, high-side pressure relief devices, liquid-line shut-off valves, economizer, filter driers, electronic expansion device and the required R134a refrigerant and compressor-oil charge. -
Advanced Controls and BMS Connectivity:
The TABREED NEXUS uses a MAGNUM microprocessor-based controller with keypad display for monitoring and control of chiller operation.
The controller can display operating information including:
- Temperature and pressure readings
- Compressor current
- Compressor operating status
- Run time
- Demand capacity
- Percentage loading
- System alarms and alerts
The system is BMS-ready and supports:
- BACnet IP
- Modbus RTU
- Modbus TCP/IP
- Johnson N2
Optional remote monitoring is also available using VPN and the controller’s built-in Ethernet connection.

Compact and Modular Design:
The TABREED NEXUS has been developed with a compact footprint to simplify site installation.
For larger units starting from AC-195-T3-50-R134a, the chiller can be shipped in two sections to support safer and more practical lifting and handling at site.
