What Is a Water Chiller?
A water chiller is a refrigeration machine that removes heat from water, producing chilled water for a specific application. The unit uses a refrigeration cycle … compressor, condenser, expansion device, evaporator … to extract heat from the water passing through it, and rejects that heat to the outside air through an air-cooled condenser.
The result is a continuous supply of cold water, delivered to wherever it is needed … a domestic water tank, a production line, a cold room, or any other application requiring temperature-controlled water.

In the UAE, overhead water tanks reach extreme temperatures in summer. Water stored in an uninsulated rooftop tank can reach 60°C or higher … meaning every tap, shower, and outlet in the building runs hot water regardless of which tap is used.
A domestic water chiller connects to the overhead water tank and continuously cools the stored water, maintaining it at a comfortable and usable temperature throughout the day … even in peak summer conditions.
